I got a bit carried away and did photo manipulations even though I was supposed to just find people who looked like my character at different ages... Oh well, these were fun to do and came out pretty nice.

6 years: Alice Liddell, the girl who was the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland. When I thought of Verna as a child, she immediately came to mind. Verna was a lonely child who rarely smiled and always looked a bit gloomy, so other children were usually scared of her. Her hair is naturally black and she has always had darkish features.

19 years: Katherine Moennig who plays Shane in The L Word. Verna is supposed to look somewhat androgynous so Moennig was a natural choice, even though she's probably quite a bit older than 19 in that picture. And she also had the right hairdo, I just had to change the color and add the coontails.

25 years: Kat von D, a tattoo artist. Verna isn't supposed to be that beautiful (that goes for the '19 years old' picture as well) but that picture of miss von D happened to have a suitable hairstyle and make-up for the adult Verna: more mature than her teenage look but still rock. I could also imagine her taking tattoos, though maybe not that many.

Sex change: I look like I'm dead and I dress like a homo, I must be EMO! :'D This is just for the lulz~
